The idea behind Liberate Homeschool is to elevate our mindset about homeschool. The days of trying to be the perfect homeschool mom and housewife are over. There is an unrealistic mentality that demands that women keep the house clean, prepare dinner, discipline children, educate children, keep her weight within certain limits, and have a nice attitude. All of these goals seem to need to be reached everyday. EVERDAY!
I don’t think so. TO liberate homeschool, we are suggesting that women get their marching orders from the Word of God, the Bible. Discard all the societal viewpoints of the little mom that effortlessly handles all the demands of running a household, meeting the needs of her husband, and looking like she walked out of a magazine since that is the least she can do because, afterall, she does not work.
Liberate Homeschool is a push back against ALL the unspoken, nonverbal expectations on moms who are overwhelmed and need a break but are too tired to even realize why! We are here to examine scriptures and rethink priorities as we journey toward sanity and wholeness.
We support every family that has decided to take the responsibility to educate their children and raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We also will present realistic perspectives on child rearing and educating that also allow for parents to enjoy their lives and flourish. Join us and see how much fun we can have living on purpose!
